Modern technologies present numerous opportunities to enhance the education system, one of which is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into everyday teaching. This opens up new possibilities for more effective and interactive learning experiences. The Center for Artificial Intelligence – FERIT.AI is actively contributing to this transformation by helping educators adopt new technologies to enhance teaching methods and better meet the demands of today’s students.

On November 14, 2024, Full Professor Marijan Herceg, PhD, Head of the Center for Artificial Intelligence – FERIT.AI, held a workshop about application of artificial intelligence in education at Antun Mihanović Primary School in Osijek. The goal of this workshop was to educate teachers on how to effectively utilize AI technologies in their daily teaching practices and to enhance the overall educational process.

During the workshop, teachers had the opportunity to learn how to implement AI in various aspects of education, including:

• Creating educational content using AI tools that save time and foster creativity
• Personalized learning to provide tailored support to each student
• Developing virtual learning environments that engage students in interactive learning
• Automating the creation and grading of exams, making the assessment process more efficient

This workshop was the result of a collaboration between FERIT.AI and Antun Mihanović Primary School, with the aim of strengthening the digital skills of teachers. In today’s fast-changing world of technology, artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important in education, and FERIT.AI is committed to expanding knowledge and promoting the use of AI technologies through initiatives like this one.
